GLENTURRET CELEBRATES 240 YEARS OF DISTILLING WITH OPEN WEEKEND
Celebrating 240 years of making whisky in Crieff, Glenturret Distillery is throwing open its doors to the public on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November, offering access-all-areas with free tours of Scotland’s Oldest Working Distillery.
Visitors will get the opportunity to immerse themselves in Glenturret Distillery’s history, sample some drams and learn about the traditional artisan methods that are still used to produce whisky on site, By Hand and By Heart, today.
Wilde Thyme at Glenturret, the visitor attraction’s new restaurant and café run by award-winning luxury food and event caterers, is presenting a special menu for the open weekend, showcasing a range of whisky based dishes including mouth-watering Glenturret ice-cream to mark the distillery’s special anniversary. The distillery shop will also be filled to the brim with a full range of distillery exclusives, perfect for a spot of early Christmas gift shopping.
The open weekend will mark the end of an exciting week of activities for the distillery with a world record attempt to bring together the largest number of people to ‘raise a dram’ at the same time, taking place on Thursday 5th November at 5pm at the distillery.
