Woodex Eko special wood stain launched by TeknosPro

Woodex Eko is absorbed into the wood for a beautiful finish as it
protects the wood from greying from sun damage

An innovative translucent wood stain has been launched by paint and coatings specialist, TeknosPro. Designed for use on cladding and fences, Woodex Eko is a water-borne, oil-based coating which is also suitable for the treatment of hardwood and press-impregnated wood. The translucent colour of Woodex Eko is absorbed into the wood for a beautiful finish as it protects the wood from greying from sun damage. As an added bonus, the coating can be tinted with transparent tones in the Woodex range.

A valuable addition to the existing range of professional wood finishes, Woodex Eko, a single-component polyurethane varnish, gives a semi-matt finish and by brush or spray. It forms a permeable film and allows for longer maintenance intervals for roughly-sawn surfaces in wooden structures such as fences.

It has a coverage rate of 8-12m2/litre on sawn timber and 5-8m2/litre on planed timber and beam. TeknosPro recommends priming the surface with Woodex wood preservative initially.

Woodex Eko is supplied in 0.9 litre and 2.7 litre tins and is part of a new range of paints and coatings launched under the new TeknosPro brand last year. Building on Teknos' established position as the leading supplier of specialist joinery coatings in the UK and Ireland, the TeknosPro range is designed for professional tradesmen. The range includes paints, stains and varnishes for internal walls and ceilings as well as metal and wood surfaces.
