Momentum Builds As Motorplus Appoints Weller And Welch

5October, 2015:Norwich basedMotorplus, one of the UK's leading providers of bespoke claims management services and a wide variety of core and add-on insurance products to the insurance and broker markets, has made two significant appointments this month as it embarks on a new push to underline its growing market dominance.

Both Phil Weller, who joins as sales and marketing director, and Julian Welch, who takes up the role of business development manager, assume their positions at an exciting time for the company. Tasked with growing the customer base by embedding the brand and its extensive portfolio of products into the day to day operations of insurers and insurance brokers nationwide, the pair will also be largely responsible for launching additional suites of products and a brand new electronic trading platform which will help extend the scope, security, efficiency and revenue potential for customers.

Weller brings with him over 30 years' industry experience, working with insurers, brokers and software houses and the strategic know-how required to make a difference. Immediately prior to joining Motorplus, he was head of sales for Helphire Group. In his 12 years there, he developed an enviable reputation for success consistently delivering considerable customer growth.

Welch will assume operational responsibility for developing existing relationships with clients and referrers as well as unearthing new revenue streams for the business. Having previously occupied a variety of sales roles with companies such as Elite Incident Management, Nationwide Network services, Trafficmaster and RAC Autowindscreens, and carrying a wealth of insurance claims sector knowledge with him, his partnership-based approach will be key if more customers are to be encouraged to place more of their business with Motorplus.

For over 25 years Motorplus has provided an exemplary claims handling service ranging from First Notification of Loss (FNOL) to full accident management solutions. Its offering also includes a portfolio of over 50 bespoke insurance add-ons in motor, commercial, landlord, household and specialist insurance, which allows brokers to tailor products precisely to meet their customers' expectations.
