Unilight will be showcasing its innovative Dairy Light on stand 222 at the Dairy Show on Wednesday 7th October 2015

Gloucestershire based Unilight will be showcasing its Dairy Light - the only LED light on the market designed to optimise melatonin suppression and increase milk yields - at the Dairy Show on 7^thOctober 2015.

Developed in conjunction with dairy industry experts for the many herds that are increasingly being housed inside for long periods, Dairy Light provides a very specific light which increases milk yield by as much as 10%, with response times being recorded in two weeks. It reduced power consumption by using LED technology and normally gives payback within six months.

Following its launch earlier in the year, the first Dairy light system has now been installed at a new state of the art dairy farm in Worcestershire. Light levels are being kept constant by light sensors which ensure the different zones operate at optimal levels for the animal's well-being.

Unilight's effective patented LED technology gives Light output of between 95 and 110 lumens per watt depending on the local voltage level. The special integrated units are available in 2 foot or 4 foot lengths with opaque lens diffusers with ratings of either 36W or 60W respectively. They are supplied with a waterproof cable entry at both ends, stainless steel suspension kits and can be wired for ‘plug and play' reducing installation time and cost.
