May Sparks is a spectacular social media specialist who has just secured a cushy job representing a couple of C-list celebs online. Everything is on the up...right? Her clients turn out to be less rising stars and more lead balloons. An ex big brother star (who she'sdefinitelynot goingto sleep with), a disgraced TV presenter (who wants May to sort out his marriage as well as his Twitter account), and a woman who once flashed her boobs on X-factor, mean her star-making job might be a bit trickier than she'd hoped. As May's virtual life expands and evolves her real life starts to suffer, as she becomes more and more alienated, which only gets worse when her online identity is leaked.

#PleaseRetweetis a rom-com (with more focus on the com than the rom) written by a lady who knows social media like the back of her hand. Described as "a funny and frantic cautionary tale for the digital generation" (Chick Lit Love),#PleaseRetweetteases society's obsession with social media, highlighting the gap between our real life and the one we portray online...

This is Emily Benet's third book, the second to be published by Harper Collins. 30-something Emily is a half-Welsh, half-Spanish Londoner, who recently escaped to Mallorca with her husband. Her first book - Shop Girl Diaries - began as a blog before being picked up by Salt Publishing and became a short film. Her second, The Temp, racked up more than 1 million hits online and prompted a two-book deal with Harper Collins.

Reviews

"Tons of fun and cheekily current - I was groaning in recognition of a lot of my own social media addiction (hashtag selfie)."

"I absolutely loved this book! It's such a fun, contemporary novel that is so apt for the social media age we now live in."
