PRESS RELEASE
Release date: 9th November 2015
K3
helps businesses navigate the technology labyrinth at Microsoft Future Decoded
The largest event in the Microsoft calendar will be marked with an interactive labyrinth from business solutions specialist K3, as the organisation showcases its complete Microsoft solutions with the recent addition of its specialist Customer Relationship Management (CRM) team.
K3 CRM is working very closely with other K3 businesses to deliver complete end-to-end solutions to organisations working in the manufacturing, retail and distribution sectors, by bringing together the complete Microsoft Dynamics suite of applications.
To demonstrate this, visitors to Future Decoded will be able to test their skills in a unique digital labyrinth, which has been designed to make businesses think about how they can align themselves closer to customers. The labyrinth takes suppliers through the journey of systems purchasing and integration, demonstrating the need for businesses to access end-to-end solutions from a specialist business IT partner. At a time when immersive technologies and serious games are being successfully adopted by some of the biggest UK brands, including Marks and Spencer and restaurant chain Zizzi, to better connect with customers, the K3 labyrinth also capitalises on these principles using gamification.
Alison Brown, Marketing Manager for K3 CRM commented: “As one of the Leading Microsoft Dynamics Partners in the UK, the mission of K3 is to provide tried and tested Microsoft applications to help bring businesses even closer to their customers. By shining a light on CRM, K3 is now uniquely positioned to deliver the complete, integrated suite of Microsoft Dynamics applications to businesses, and this is what our labyrinth demonstrates. Technology is becoming a huge advantage to businesses looking to better align themselves with their customers, and by being able to access single integrated solutions from the same partner such as K3, companies are able to successfully navigate the labyrinth of technology.”
Also present at the event, and a key recruit to the recently created K3 CRM, is Kimberley Bolton, the company’s first and second line support executive, better known to many in the technology trade as the first ever female to be named as Microsoft’s Apprentice of the Year. Kimberley is continuing to work closely with K3 and the Microsoft Ambassador Programme to encourage more women to embark upon careers in the technology sector.
Kimberley joins a significant number of female managers and directors at K3 and she believes that more needs to be done to encourage young women to explore a career in technology, but this must start at school level.
Kimberley commented: “Like many of the female workers in the K3 group,
I almost fell into a career in technology but I was lucky I did, because there
have been many rewards. It’s important that budding female IT professionals
work together with organisations such as Microsoft to help develop the next
generation of technology talent. As businesses, and particularly retailers,
evolve their processes to get closer to their customers, it is the technology
applications such as those found throughout K3 that are enabling them to
successfully make this transformation. The message we need to send to young
female technicians is that their role will increasingly become even more
important to businesses in a rapidly changing customer-driven business
environment.”
