East Yorkshire poultry supplier passes rigorous BRC audit
Directors and staff at Middleton on the Wolds poultry and game business, T. Soanes & Son are celebrating after passing a stringent BRC Food Safety Audit.
The 68 year old business gained a Grade A against Issue 7 of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
Commenting on the achievement, T.Soanes' General Manager, Nigel Upson said; "This is the first audit since we gained the accreditation last year and the team worked tirelessly to ensure that we passed with the highest grade again."
The family owned business secured £2.5m of new and additional business since achieving BRC and Red Tractor accreditations.
T.Soanes & Son is a family owned business which has been rearing and preparing chicken for 68 years. It rears over five million birds per year on its Yorkshire Wolds farms and sells its chicken and game to butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and to wholesalers nationwide.
