Ashford Mum Launches New Children's Cooking School

23rdNovember 2015

Ashford Mum and entrepreneur Pam Hunt is launching kids cooking school, Cookery Doodle Doo to meet the increasing demand of local children inspired by family shows like The British Bake Off.

The cooking classes are designed for 3-5 year olds and offer the chance for children to try new things, meet new friends, and literally get their hands dirty all whilst learning key cooking skills (and mums and dads won't have to worry about clearing up the mess either!)

Pam Hunt, mum of 2 boys will be running the classes from her home in Ashford on Friday mornings. Each week there will be a new recipe to make, bake and taste; and the children will be able to take home the recipe and their food masterpieces. As well as fresh veggie-packed pizzas, children can learn to make some festive favourites over the coming weeks with mince pies and even edible Christmas Cards on the menu!

"Cooking with your child has so many benefits. It teaches them about healthy eating and where food comes from, allows them to get stuck in with a bit of messy and sensory play. Its a great way to help to overcome any fussy eaters as children are so much more likely to eat something that they've made themselves.  And as an added bonus they have so much fun!
As a mum of two I know how difficult it can be to find new activities to amuse the kids, but I've found trying out all the Cookery Doodle Doo recipes has given us hours of entertainment."
