Vanarama nets twice at the Small Fleet Leasing Awards

Vanarama scored as van lease champions in the 2015 Business Car Manager Small Fleet Leasing Awards, which recognise the best suppliers of fleet leasing to the SME sector, the engine room of the UK's economic recovery.

They also netted the Small Fleet Leasing Marketing Award for the second year for their ground-breaking TV advertising campaigns and title sponsorship of The Football Conference (now National League).

According to the independent judges from the Small Fleet Leasing Federation, Vanarama ‘know their target market very well and they have good levels of service for a big company'. And they also applauded the use of smartphones technology to communicate with their customers.

In 2015, Vanarama expect to sell 7,500 vehicles, 98% of them commercial vehicles. As a result, they are able to secure market-leading discounts, making them one of the most competitive players in sector.

As part of their marketing campaign, Vanarama branded Wembley Stadium for the Conference Promotion Final in May as well as increased their spread of TV advertising, which increased brand awareness by 32% and leads by another 18%.

Leasing brokers are playing an increasingly important role in the vehicle finance sector, especially amongst SMEs who are taking advantage of alternative funding options. The sector has seen dramatic growth in 2015 and is on target for 200,000 vehicles on contract by end of the year, following an unprecedented growth rate of 40% during the last two years.

Ralph Morton, editor of Business Car Manager, said: "Vanarama's creative and imaginative approach to service delivery and marketing has made them a major player in the small fleet leasing sector. Additionally, their investment in IT has produced user-friendly processes enabling customers to find the right vehicle at the right price, using the appropriate finance method.

"And they haven't stopped at vans. In August they launched Vanarama Cars, which they forecast will deliver over 3,000 cars as well as target 9,000 commercial vehicle deliveries in 2016. I fully expect more big things from Vanarama next year."

The Small Fleet Leasing Awards have the full backing of the key leasing broker market funders - Alphabet, Arval, Lex Autolease and Network. The Small Fleet Leasing Awards are promoted by the websites BusinessCarManager.co.uk and BusinessVans.co.uk, trading titles of Business Car Manager Ltd.
