Bower & Bailey’s Alison Hill to host free wills and probate advice event

Alison Hill, Wills & Estates Partner at leading law firm, Bower & Bailey, will host a wills and probate advice and networking event on Wednesday 27 January 2016.

The event, taking place at Basepoint Swindon, is free to attend and will give local business owners valuable insight into the complexities of wills and probate law.

Looking ahead to the event, Alison said “I’m going to dispel some of the myths surrounding the transfer of assets upon death and discuss the benefits of lasting power of attorney (LPA). Some people believe they won’t benefit from this, but that’s not the case. If you’re a business owner, making a will can get complicated. My role is to cover every possible eventuality and make sure your wishes are carried out.

“I often liaise with people at distressing times, so a big part of my role is to alleviate anxiety wherever I can. That’s why it’s really important for business owners to make sure their business and assets are transferred correctly on their death.”

Bower & Bailey Solicitors is celebrating its 30^th anniversary in Swindon this year. Alison is marking a similar milestone, having notched up 30 years of service with the firm.

During this time, she has acquired a wealth of experience in all aspects of private client work including wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts, LPA, probate and estate administration and property transactions. Alison also acts as deputy for clients with mental capacity problems.
