Jet Environmental – Backgrounder
Jet Environmental provides energy-efficient heating, ventilation and cooling systems for large volume, open plan spaces.
Established in 1981, Jet Environmental works with the UK’s leading consultants and contractors, providing climate control solutions for industrial and commercial buildings. Examples include aircraft hangers, logistics warehouses, mezzanine areas, rail terminals, retail park stores, leisure and exhibition centres, production facilities and mail service centres.
Through its three divisions, Jet Environmental, Jet Maintain and Outsourced Air, the company works across all industry sectors - and in buildings up to 40m high and 3,000,000m2 in area.
Jet Environmental is also the market leader in the pharmaceutical sector, where, due to stringent MRHA regulations, climate control requirements are highly specific.
Jet Environmental
Jet Environmental works with in-house and third party logistics providers to create cost effective temperature control solutions in warehouses.
Experienced in new build and retrofit projects, Jet Environmental offers bespoke system design, quick installation and commissioning and minimum disruption to business operations. Energy consumption is minimised by using purge techniques, while temperatures are kept even and monitored 24/7.
Installations are supported by full time maintenance packages. Maintenance plants are located outdoors to avoid interfering with day-to-day processes.
Jet Environmental, through Outsouced Air gives customers the option of buying conditioned air as a utility as an alternative to outright equipment purchase.
Jet Maintain
Jet Maintain is Jet Environmental’s planned maintenance service. Managed by the company’s in-house team, maintenance packages are specific to every client. Typically, Jet Maintain provides a spares and consumables ordering service to take away the hassle of stocking parts, remote monitoring to detect early degradation in performance and scheduled system servicing. Lifetime support packages are also available for customers purchasing a Jet Environmental temperature control system. A significant advantage of Jet Maintain over alternative offers is Jet Maintain’s ability to fine tune, reprogram or update system control systems that can increase efficiency and lower energy bills.
Outsourced Air
Outsourcedair, a new concept, is the total air management service provided by Jet Environmental. The service includes full temperature and energy management and is continuously optimised for energy efficiency. No capital expenditure is required – clients purchase Outsourced Air as a utility for as little as 50p per cubic metre per year.
Pharmaceutical industry
Jet Environmental has specialist expertise in pharmaceutical environments. The company designs and installs bespoke self-regulated energy-efficient HVAC and close climate control systems that comply with stringent MRHA regulations. Clients in the pharmaceutical sector include NHS, Boots, Phoenix Healthcare, AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries and Movianto UK.
Warehousing
Great emphasis is placed on energy efficiency and the carbon footprints of buildings. Part L of the Building Regulations calls for ongoing improvements to the thermal efficiency and airtightness of all new buildings.
Jet Environmental project manages and installs bespoke systems quickly while minimising operational disruption.
Leisure & exhibition centres
The multi-purpose nature of exhibition centres calls for versatile heating, ventilating and cooling systems. A small trade show hosting 400-500 people, for example, will present a different set of challenges to a rock concert attended by 10,000 people.
Jet Environmental’s balanced Jet air induction systems meet all the environmental requirements for multifunctional buildings - including swimming pools. Clients in this sector include theImperial War Museum and Dunsfold Aerodrome.
Retail
park stores
Jet Environmetal’s balanced systems provide quiet, draft-free heating and cooling with even temperatures throughout retail stores. Clients include Norwest Holst for Argos and Great Outdoors. Supporting retailers at their distribution centres is a key activity for Jet with clients such as Sainsburys, Tesco, Boots, Waitrose, ASDA, Paver Shoes and Home Bargains.
