Energy briefing for London-based businesses

PRESS RELEASE: 28 April 2015

London breakfast briefing for managers yet to start ESOS assessment

08.00am - 11am Tuesday 14 May. The Office Group, One Pancras Square, Kings Cross, London N1C 4AG

The deadline for compliance with ESOS, the Government's Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme, is fast approaching. By 5 December 2015 all businesses with 250 employees or more, or with a turnover of over €50m and a balance sheet in excess of €43m, must undertake a comprehensive audit of energy use, achieve compliance with government regulations and notify this to the Environment Agency.

For businesses yet to start this process, it's not too late, but time is running out.

To help businesses maximise the time available, Minimise Group is running a dedicated ESOS breakfast briefing in London on 14 May 2015. Free to attend, the briefing will take place at The Gridiron building, One Pancras Square, Kings Cross.

The briefing is open to anyone with responsibility for delivering ESOS compliance and will succinctly explain the steps needed to achieve it. Areas covered will include how to calculate and record total energy consumption in line with ESOS requirements, how to carry out subsequent assessments, and how to appoint an accredited lead assessor. Delegates will leave with a clear understanding of the next steps needed and the level of activities required to become compliant within deadline.

By implementing ESOS businesses will meet essential legal compliance and avoid hefty government fines - up to £50,000 plus £500 per day. More than that, they will have at their fingertips accurate data which will show them how to make substantial operational cost savings that come from effectively addressing energy efficiency.

Places are limited and can be pre-booked via Eventbrite: http://www.esos-briefing-london.eventbrite.co.uk.

Run by a panel of industry experts whose experience covers ESOS strategy development, energy management, business sustainability and legal compliance with ESOS, these briefings will provide all the information needed to meet ESOS compliance quickly and efficiently. They will highlight the process, the pitfalls, the quick wins and how to best maximise the commercial benefits of compliance on an on-going basis, driving bottom line savings.
