Get back to your best with Physio Plus’ spinal mobiliser
Physio Plus, the Chippenham-based centre of excellence for the treatment musculo-skeletal disorders, is one of very few practices in the region to offer patients the benefits of a spinal mobiliser.
The Mobiliser helps to maintain a flexible spine and ease back pain. It can also decrease the symptoms of long term and chronic musculo-skeletal problems.
A key benefit of the Mobiliser is that users can personalise their treatment programme to suit the unique symptoms of their condition. After the 15-minute whole body massage programme, designed to promote well-being and spinal flexibility, patients can use the Mobiliser’s handheld control pad to concentrate on specific areas.
Physio Plus expects the Mobiliser to be in great demand in the coming weeks and months. The onset of cold weather can affect joints at this time of year and, as icy conditions set in, people are not able to go out to exercise so much causing a more sedentary winter lifestyle. With the Mobiliser, they can get an effective massage in their lunch break or on their way home from work – and feel the effects straight away.
Physio Plus is based on Park Fields in the centre of Chippenham – close to Chippenham Station, the Hathaway Retail Park and main road network.
Andrew Baldwin, Director and Clinical Lead Orthopaedic Physiotherapy specialist at Physio Plus, said: “The Mobiliser is powerful, proven and really popular among people with back and spinal conditions. It heats the back to improve blood flow to the spinal muscles improving flexibility and relaxation, then flexes and extends the spinal segments. As well as a great healer, this continuous movement is also excellent for people who lead sedentary work lives.”
One of our Physiotherapists will
be happy to discuss the use of the mobiliser with you before your first use. People
have used the Mobiliser to treat a wide range of conditions. These include:
• low back pain
• prolapse /slipped disc
• sciatica
• scoliosis
• arthritic hips
• sacro-illiac dysfunction
• whiplash injuries
• fibromyalgia
