Look and feel great for summer with Healthy Lane’s bestseller
Summer’s almost here and Healthy Lane owner Tembi Huna is determined to help you look and feel great – on the inside and the outside - with their bestselling quinoa and tuna tabbouleh salad.
At Healthy Lane, you can choose from a range of delicious, healthy meals created by Tembi. But the quinoa and tuna tabbouleh salad is causing a stir throughout the town.
“This is our bestselling salad,” said Tembi. “Our customers love it for its wholesomeness and taste. Quinoa is gluten free and, along with tuna, rich in protein. It is rich in B vitamins and minerals such as manganese, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and calcium. Quinoa is much higher in fibre than most grains and contains the beneficial plant antioxidants, quercetin and kaempferol.
“Our quinoa and tuna tabbouleh salad also contains kale, avocados, cherry tomatoes and spring onions. Kale is rich in antioxidants, iron and vitamins A, C and K. Avocados are a great source of pantothenic acid, dietary fibre, vitamins K, B6, E, C, folate and healthy fats like omega 3.
“Cherry tomatoes provide an impressive amount of vitamins A, B6, C, and K, as well as, folate and thiamine. Spring onions, meanwhile, are one of the richest sources of vitamin K.”
A well-balanced diet can reduce your risk of life-threatening diseases and help you maintain a healthy weight, whatever your age. It was recently reported that bad diets can cost the NHS over £2 billion. Junk food and high fat meals are linked to conditions such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease.
Stressing the importance of diet, Tembi said: “Ideally, we should eat ingredients from all food groups and complement these with superfoods. Healthy oils, protein-rich seeds and nuts all combined into a single serving, for example, provide optimum nourishment and maximum health benefits.”
Despite only being open for a few months, Swindon’s all-inclusive-nutritious eatery café has been promoting a healthy lifestyle through a sustainable diet to hundreds of satisfied customers. Healthy Lane provides quality foods such stews, salads, wraps, sandwiches, juices, smoothies, soup, tea and coffee. Building on the successful launch, Healthy Lane has introduced a new breakfast menu. This includes the mega breakfast, which diners can choose from grilled chicken or courgette and aubergine alongside fresh salad and seeded bread. The menu also incorporates freshly cooked porridge, muesli and yoghurts with fresh fruits, seeds and nuts.
Tembi Huna has, for over 15 years, studied scientific research in the field of biomedical sciences and follows a nutrient-rich, all inclusive, sustainable diet.
