Travel advice for Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band on 5, May in Cardiff
Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band will be kicking off their World Tour 2024 on 5, May at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. With gates to the stadium opening at 4pm, there will be a full city centre road closure around the stadium from 2pm until midnight on safety grounds.
The M4 motorway is expected to be very busy due to this concert - so please plan ahead - and avoid the congestion in Cardiff by using the park & ride at the former Toy's R Us site car park in the Sports Village - CF11 0JS.

Those attending the concert are strongly advised to plan their journey and get in early. Please pay attention to the prohibited items listed at principalitystadium.wales, in particular the bag policy (no large bags permitted) before travelling into the city.
Moorland Primary School celebrates completion of new school development
Significant works to redevelop and improve facilities at Moorland Primary School in Splott have been completed.
The £7million investment has seen a new 20 place Specialist Resource Base established at the school for pupils with Complex Learning Needs and a replacement Early Years Unit which was in essential need of updating.
A new Flying Start provision, Twinkle Star, has also been delivered increasing the number of places from 32 to 40 with the potential for 6 childcare offer spaces for 3 and 4 year olds available in due course. This will allow children to move over from the current Flying Start site at Willows high School which is to be relocated and rebuilt on land off Lewis Road in 2026.
The new community campus facility will provide both education alongside family support services to benefit families from pre-birth, with babies and up to primary age children. In addition, the scheme has also provided a new Multi Use Game Area, enhanced outdoor spaces, sustainable drainage features and a new crèche and community room for parenting and community use. The former caretakers house has been demolished and Splott Adventure Amateur Boxing Club has been relocated to Ocean Park.
New wall art for colourful Tudor Street
A vibrant new mural is the latest addition to the artwork and colourful streetscape of a recently regenerated city centre road.
A delicate pink waterlily is the centrepiece of the new painting which has been produced by local artist, Rmer One, on the side of The Health Centre of Traditional Chinese Medicine building owned by Mr Pak Hong Lam on Tudor Street.
The mural is the newest piece of art in the Tudor Street area where a major regeneration scheme, including commercial, environmental and transport improvements, has recently been completed.
With Welsh Government support via its Transforming Towns and Active Travel initiatives as well as Cardiff Council investment, the scheme has delivered a pleasant and welcoming environment for businesses, residents and the wider community with colourful new frontages to shops, new paving, street furniture and lighting and new green infrastructure, promoting opportunities for biodiversity and improved air quality.
A new bus island facilitating bus travel into Central Square and the wider city centre, a new two-way, segregated cycle lane, wider pavements and improved pedestrian crossings have all helped to enhance the local environment along Tudor Street.
Spanish galleon to dock in Cardiff Bay
Spanish galleons once crossed the Atlantic Ocean to the American coastline, sailed the Caribbean Sea and explored the Pacific Ocean, discovering and establishing trade routes on behalf of the Spanish Crown - and now a galleon is coming to Cardiff Bay for the public to explore.
Floating museum Galeón Andalucia is a unique replica of the armed merchant vessels that were used for these maritime expeditions from the 16th to 18th centuries and will dock in ABP's Britannia Quay before opening to the public from Friday May 10th - Sunday May 12th, from 10am-8pm.
A visit includes a self-guided walking tour with the opportunity to explore six decks, interactive exhibits and historical documents, watch videos, take photos and meet crew members.
Tickets cost £12 for adults, and £6 for children aged 5-10 (under 5s are free). Family tickets for two adults and up to three children are available for £30.
