Leading Resolutions sponsors successful team in Club Triumph’s 23rd Round Britain Reliability Run

Leading Resolutions, the business focused IT consultancy and advisory, sponsored its Operations Manager, Reg Barton, who took part in the 23rd Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR) for Children with Cancer.

The RBRR is an event organised by Club Triumph, the car owners club, in which Triumph enthusiasts drive their classic cars across the UK to raise money for charity. The 2,000 mile event started on Friday 5th October and lasted 48 hours with no overnight stops. The RBRR began and ended at The Plough pub at Crews Hill near Enfield, Middlesex.

Each car must average 40mph throughout the drive. All three cars in Reg’s team successfully completed the trip, visiting John O’Groats and Land’s End and making all other 18 scheduled checkpoints at the correct time. It wasn’t all plain sailing, however. They had to complete running repairs on two cars, borrowing spares from other participants and in turn lending assistance and spares to other entrants.

Of the 100 cars that started, only four failed to complete the course – one with an accident and three with mechanical problems.

Speaking after the event, Reg said, “Leading Resolutions’ very generous sponsorship has enabled our team to raise close to £3,000 for Children with Cancer and the whole event will have raised in excess of £50,000 for this very worthwhile charity. All in all the event was challenging, yet terrific fun, while raising substantial financial support for a great cause.”

Leading Resolutions’ CEO Jeff Motto said, “Leading Resolutions is always looking to support worthwhile charitable causes. We were especially pleased to be sponsoring Reg in this year’s Round Britain Reliability Run and help raise funds for Children with Cancer.”

Since 1990, the RBRR has been run on a charitable basis. Participating crews have raised more than £350,000 for charities including The British Heart Foundation, Imperial Cancer Research, Alzheimer Research Trust, Multiple Sclerosis Society and Children with Leukaemia.

Club Triumph organises a full calendar of social, motoring and sporting events, which are open to any member who owns a Triumph or Standard car.

Children with Cancer is a leading national charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. It funds life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and works to protect young people through essential welfare and campaigning programmes.
Leading Resolutions also sponsors Luton Town Belles U12s football team and the Football Coaching Academy, an organisation that promotes youth football development. Client Executive Kevin O’Brien is participating in the Wheel Appeal’s Master’s Bike Ride. Client Manager Sarah Noor meanwhile, works with FATE (Fund for Action Through Education), helping to raise funds to educate orphaned and abandoned children in Kenya.
