Katya Torres de la Rocha, CEO of mexgrocer.co.uk, has been named Business Personality of the Year and will accept the award at the LUKAS Awards 2014 ceremony which will be held on Wednesday 30 April 2014.

The LUKAS Awards, now in their third year, are the only awards to recognise the contribution of Britain's one million Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese residents.

Winning the award celebrates Katya's work in developing mexgrocer.co.uk into an international brand and establishing Mexican food as a firm favourite in the UK. In recent months mexgrocer.co.uk has become a exclusive supplier of Mexican food on Amazon.co.uk, been voted one of The Times Top 50 Food Sites and listed as one of the best suppliers in The Independent's 50 Best Food Websites. In January 2014, the company's first overseas franchise was launched in Norway.
