New Mexican food distributor launches in the UK
Today sees the launch of MexImport, a specialist importer and distributor of quality Mexican food and drink products. MexImport is the latest addition to the business portfolio of the award-winning entrepreneur and CEO of mexgrocer.co.uk, Katya Torres de la Rocha.
MexImport will bring the products of leading Mexican brands – many of them on an exclusive basis - directly to delicatessens, farm shops and market leading multiples in the UK and Europe. The extensive product range will include sauces, marinades, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, herbs and spices, cooking oils and agave.
Speaking about the new venture, Katya said: “MexImport is unique. It will allow customers across the UK and Europe to get their hands on some of the most sought after Mexican products and brands, straight from Mexico.”
MexImport has exclusive rights for 15 leading Mexican brands. These brands include:

UK
- Laterra,
a range of speciality cooking sauces, marinades and dips made using traditional
ingredients, methods and recipes
- Ocho Reales, craft brewed ale made from 100% malted barley
in Monterey, Mexico
- Terana,
the producer of a wide variety of high quality herbs and spices from
around the world using best ingredients possible
- Tortillas Guanajuato, gluten free and 100% corn tortillas made in
the ancient town of Guanajuato
- True Agave, the
leading producer of agave syrup in Mexico, the natural sweetener that
originates from the blue agave plant
To coincide with the launch of MexImport, the company will be attending the UK’s largest food and drink show, The International Food & Drink Event 2015, which takes place from Sunday 22 to Wednesday 25 March 2015 at ExCeL London. The event attracts over 26,000 visitors from over 100 countries and more than 1,100 exhibitors. On show will be a selection of MexImport’s exclusive products, including those from Ahuacatlan, Ocho Reales, Tortillas Guanajuato, and True Agave.
