Patchwork Pâté to celebrate Saint David’s Day with their favourite pâtés

Patchwork Pâté to celebrate Saint David’s Day with a range of their favourite pâtés

To celebrate the feast day of Saint David on March 1, the award-winning Patchwork Pâté has created a collection of pâtés. The Welsh pâtés are handmade and, with no artificial flavours, colours or hydrogenated fats, offer an ideal complement for Welsh festivities.

The Saint David’s Day range comprises:

  • Welsh Dragon’s Pâté - This fiery venison pâté marries a spice-packed pungency with rich game liver to give a warming, aromatic experience. Perfect with beer.
  • Snowdonia Cheddar, Chive and Welsh AleA combination of two of the best things to come out of Wales, Cheese and Beer! AMAZING melted on your favourite toasted bread or Patchwork Pâté’s spelt oat fingers
  • Mushroom & Ale - Earthy flavour of mushrooms and the bitter taste of ale. Reminiscent of a quaint pub in the heart of the valleys.

Margaret Carter, founder of the Patchwork Pâté said: “Saint David’s Day is a wonderful celebration in the Welsh calendar. Being based in Denbighshire, north-east Wales and committed to using local ingredients we were inspired by the culture here to create these unique recipes.”

A family business, Patchwork Pâté began with a start-up fund of just £9.00, invested from then single mother Margaret’s housekeeping funds. In these early days Margaret would prepare pâtés in her home near Llangollen, North Wales and supply them to local pubs and restaurants. Today the company occupies purpose-built kitchens in nearby Ruthin where it employs over 20 people.
