Monahans chips in with £820 for St Nicholas School playground appeal
Accountancy firm and independent financial advisers, Monahans raised over £820 at a charity quiz in Chippenham on 20 November in aid of the St Nicholas Schools Playground Appeal.
The St Nicholas School in Malmesbury Road, Chippenham works with children in the 4 - 19 years age group who have severe,complex or profound and multiple learning disabilities. Its playground appeal aims to raise the funds necessary to create a safe yet challenging outdoor space for its pupils.
The quiz was contested by 21 teams and was won by Barclays Bank and their team named Barclays Eagles.
Bruce Douglas, head teacher at St Nicholas School was said to be "shocked" but elated with the amount of money that Monahans raised for the playground appeal.
Ian Lloyd, partner at Monahans said, "Everyone did an excellent job of organising the event and making sure everything ran smoothly on the night. It was a great team effort and we're delighted to be able to contribute to this excellent cause."
