Strictly Come Dancing at Daish’s Holidays Weymouth hotel

Daish’s Holidays, the chain of hotels on the south coast of England and Isle of Wight and Group Travel Awards Most Group-Friendly Hotel Chain 2014, has launched dance breaks at its Hotel Prince Regent in Weymouth.

The packages include dance sessions with renowned dance tutor and member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Pierre Schrauwen.

The dance classes are held in the restored Georgian ballroom to give guests an authentic experience. Each package is designed for beginners and practiced dancers alike.

In line with Daish’s Holidays’ other hotels, the Hotel Prince Regent offers comfortable accommodation, great meals and entertainment. All rooms have an en suite bathroom, a flat screen television and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy a full English breakfast and a three course evening meal in the hotel’s restaurant overlooking the promenade. Entertainment, which includes dancing, cabaret, bingo, quizzes and games is available every evening.

The hotel is on the seafront and close to Weymouth’s Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, Portland Bill lighthouse and novelist Thomas Hardy’s cottage.

Julia Pearce, group salesmanager at Daish’s Holidays, said: “With the popularity of Strictly Come Dancing, we’re inspiring guests to get their dancing shoes on. The beautiful ballroom and the guidance of Pierre Schrauwen will give people the perfect opportunity to try dancing for the first time or hone their technique. When not dancing, guests can relax in the hotel’s peaceful surroundings or enjoy the local attractions.”

Daish’s Holidays, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, runs over 80,000 holidays annually. The standard five-day holiday package comprises four nights’ accommodation with a full English breakfast, three course evening meal and nightly entertainment. Optional excursions to local attractions give guests the choice of sightseeing or relaxing around the hotel grounds. Self-drive holiday options, at a slightly lower cost, are also available.

Daish’s Holidays enjoys 97% occupancy rate across its seven hotels, so early bookings are advised. The dance breaks start at £79 per person for self drive short breaks.
